Spiritual Formation Ministries

The Spiritual Formation Ministries Team supports and develops learning opportunities for spiritual growth. Members of this team include heads of ongoing ministries (such as Godly Play and EfM), as well as parishioners preparing to offer seasonal or one-off presentations and learning opportunities. All parishioners are welcome to participate in these meetings, to bring their own ideas to this group for discernment.

Julie Casey Clements, Team Leader

Children & Youth Learning Opportunities

Godly Play
Alexandra Stephens, Ministry Lead

All Saints’ is pioneering the integration of Godly Play and liturgy: a Godly Play presentation is offered during the Liturgy of the Word portion of our weekly Choral Eucharist, and the children's sacred space is the front of the nave. While the storyteller's presentation is audible to the congregation, other parts of the Godly Play session (gathering, wondering, and work) stay in the circle of children. If you’re new to Godly Play at All Saints', we suggest arriving a little bit early to get oriented.

Crossroads Youth Group
Joshua Lucero, Ministry Lead

Younger parishioners and their friends in middle school, high school, and beyond gather regularly for fellowship and service, sharing their time, ideas and gifts.

All Saints' youth also participate in the Diocese of Northern California Pathways Youth Pilgrimage.

Adult & Inter-generational Learning Opportunities

Seasonal Programs 2019-2020

Winter 2020
Epiphany Inquiry Series on Migration and Refugees
Sundays, 1/12, 1/19, 2/9; 9am, Memorial Hall

Participants shape this series, using an inquiry approach and driven by participants' own questions and concerns about the current situation for migrants and refugees around the world and in our own region.

We will focus on questions developed and forwarded by participants in this series as well as a scriptural connection through Episcopal Migration Ministries. Between sessions, committee members research the questions and concerns raised by participants, sharing the new information at the next meeting. Each session provides safe space for raising authentic questions and concerns.

For more information, see Alex Stephens, Wendy Little, Gregg Churchill or Bill Rich.

Parable Un-Journaling Workshop,
Saturday, 1/18, Memorial Hall
The Rev. Gregg Churchill, Facilitator
In just 15 minutes per day, un-journalers enter the well of their inner lives through attention to personal situations, then move beyond the personal into the stream of God’s love to which life is connected.

Lent 2020
Lenten Soup Supper Learning Series
Tuesday evenings, 3/3-31, Memorial Hall
A multi-week series of simple, potluck soup suppers, learning opportunities, and prayer: a collaborative offering with Hospitality Ministries and Worship Ministries.
